But for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, today’s meeting at the White House will surely trigger awkward memories of that very public clash with the US President almost six months ago. Navigating the treacherous waters in which he finds himself today will be no easier.

Increasingly, it appears likely he will be told to give up land in exchange for some sort of security guarantees.
The land side of that “deal” will be obvious. It can be drawn on a map. Crimea: gone, says Trump. Donetsk: give all of it up, says Putin, apparently with Trump’s blessing.
But the security guarantees? That’s where far more challenging ideas, like credibility, come into play. Could Zelensky rely on the US to deliver on some NATO Article 5-type promise, to defend Ukraine if Russia breaches any peace agreement?
Putin himself might even see an opportunity to further weaken the West, by testing any such guarantees, confident they are a bluff he could call. But all that would be for the future.
For now, it looks like Zelensky will have to weigh up whether he could bring his country with him if he were to cede territory to Russia – some of it still in Ukrainian hands – or whether he and his people could bear the costs of potentially defying Trump a Nobel Peace Prize, and say no.
If he chose the latter, would the US President immediately end all remaining American support for Ukraine, in terms of military aid and intelligence sharing, for instance?
If that happened, to what extent could Zelensky’s European allies really step in and fill in the gaps left by any full US retreat?
It is an almost impossibly hard choice before him.

December 16, 2011BySebastian MossI will never forget the first time I met you, it was raining, a soft mist was slowly thinning as London woke up to a new day 鈥?Friday, March 23rd, 2007. After months of hearing my US friends talking about the amazing PS3 the day was finally here and, after paying a whopping 拢425 about $833 back then , you were in my hands.Sure there werent that many games to play on you when I first plugged you in to my cutting edge HDTV, and sure, the PSN wasnt exactly going toe-to-toe with Xbox Live, but I still loved you. Both launch titles in Europe, Resistance and Motorstorm ate up hours upon hours, with my later purchase of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion guaranteeing an early onset of arthritis. With releases like Warhawk, Uncharted, Killzone and GTA, I grew closer and closer to you. Weve had our arguments, like when I questioned why you spent so long installing games, what the point was of Home, or why you kept forcing me to download updates that didnt do anything, but dont let that detract from what we shared together. Each year you delighted me more and more, treating me to something stanley deutschland new, sharing a completely different gami stanley cup ng experience with me on a monthly basis. I watched you render hundreds of different worlds, millions of different situations and billions of frames, all for me.But I didnt listen to the warning signs, the chugging as you tried to load up Batman, or the crash playing Uncharted. The Vice President of the United Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture SBASHK , Vjollca Shala, said that the subsidy from the Ministry of Education of 80 euros for textbooks and teaching materials does not cover the r stanley cup eal needs of students. She said that the application process has also started late, just a few days before the start of the new school year, emphasizing that many parents are also having difficulties with the application process through the e-Kosova platform, which is creating uncertainty among parents and students about securing textbooks on time. This year, as far as we have seen, the application for the subsidy has started a little late, perhaps because stanley usa September 1 is very close and parents have applied, despite the fact that there are still parents who do not have sufficient knowledge on how to apply for the subsidy. At the same time, the subsidy, which is being made from 80 euros, is not sufficient, because books for students in these classes from first to ninth grade are often more expensive. This means that those 80 euros do not meet the demand and need to buy textbooks, not to mention other means, said Shala. She also raised concerns about the use of books from previous generations, which are often outdated and do not contribute to the quality of teaching. When it comes to rep stanley isolierkanne lacing textbooks with last year s textbooks, they are completed by students who used them last year and students who will use them this year take them as completed, so even i -
